Whats up with these "Solvent Catcher" devices

Not yet, but let your people get a couple more on the high court and Red Rider bb guns will be in danger.

Whats up with these "Solvent Catcher" devices

It is no different than a $200 tax stamp per handgun, or a poll tax, or a tax for a jury trial. A tax hindering citizens from exercising their constutional rights is inherently unconstitutional.

Whats up with these "Solvent Catcher" devices

Hmmm, how about we start taxing paper used for legal documents at $200 per sheet and see how many attorneys disagree with you.

Whats up with these "Solvent Catcher" devices

The tax on supressors is unconstitutional, but attempting to overturn the law or paying the tax makes an awful lot more sense then being defiled in prison.

Had a great time shooting at Strong Point Shooting Complex in Waverly Hall today. My favorite non Garand 30-06 load of a 165 Hornady SPBT and 50 grains of IMR 4064 once again produced great results out to 400! Of course work up slowly in your own firearm, and never take data from a internet...

    flintlock poll

I suspect the shingle shooters of old would rest their rifle some way if possible: tree, pack, fence. From my studies, I believe that the first forms of the Minie ball didn't show up until 50 years or so after the revolution was over. Simply getting a patched round ball to fly repeatedly to the...

Appleseed clinic, Sept 17-18 in Macon

This is the most cost effective firearms training that I have ever attended. My back just doesn't bend enough anymore to make a good sitting position, but the instruction is first rate and entertaining.

    flintlock poll

What is the most cost effective kit/ build method for getting a rifle capable of 400 yard accuracy with a minie ball or other projectile? Maybe something you could hit say a shingle with at 200 yards.

Probably won't actually be trying that for awhile. Maybe if a Brown Bess lands in my shop one day.

Making your own blackpowder, casting your own bullets/ roundballs, and taking a game animal while not blowing your own head off would be a thrill.

    flintlock poll

I would like to have a reasonably priced one to use in my reloading like it's 1699 project.

    reloading like it's 1699

I have some reclaimed lead shot that will get the same process, and we will see what the results are. Any steel shot should not get past a magnet and into my experiment, but certainly none will melt into the range lead.

    reloading like it's 1699

Pretty sure this alloy is zinc contaminated. It was really grainy unless super hot. Thoughts @dial1911 ?

    reloading like it's 1699

Wow, finally now ready for some ingots after cleaning the alloy. Pan and muffin tin from Goodwill, $6.55 this morning.

    reloading like it's 1699

Trying to get into some casting for historical style rifles, and am practicing with wheel weight alloy which may never melt at the present rate, or could be zinc contaminated. At this point the idea is to work on technique and procedures for open flame smelting to get some pistol bullets. Better...

    Kahr PM9 vs CM9...

Unless I am wearing loose pants, the CW9 give that "happy to see you" look in your front pocket. It absolutely disappears with an inside the waistband holster.

    Kahr PM9 vs CM9...

I would probably ask Kahr directly, the part number would be different if they were made to different specifications for different models even if they were the same size.

    New (to me) Colt 1917

Makes me want to run some cavalry drills a full gallop, except I hate horses. Awesome old revolver, range report please.
