    Thanks to @DoglegArms for his quick thinking. He immediately jumped into action and was able to suck out the poison then urinate on the wound to sterilize it. Probably saved @NWS life. He's a goddamn American hero. Except he's Asian. Goddamn Asian-American hero.

    I may take you up on that despite the drive. My 13 year old has yet to show any interest in shooting, but my 5 year old is hounding me about taking him shooting with me. I'm just not comfortable taking him to any of the public ranges around here.

    Lacquer thinner is primarily acetone. I wiped it down this morning and it came right of. I don't know what the coating is on this slide, but it's different than anything else I have, so I just wanted to double check first.

    My edc for a while now has been my P30. It's the best double stack compact I own. I must admit already that the 19 is much more comfortable IWB than any other double stack I've ever carried and that includes the P30. Probably won't get to the range until this weekend.

    I buy lacquer thinner in 55 gal. drums. I think I may have some laying around. Just wasn't sure what the finish on the slide is and if that harsh of a solvent would hurt it.

    I guess it wouldn't hurt to give a run through the parts washer. I keep mineral spirits in it.
