Billet is generally thicker. It has to be thicker to equal the strength of forged. Forged is basically compressed so it can be thinner and still have the same weight and strength.

Taurus revolver is the only gun I've ever had multiple unrelated failures with. I can't express enough what a POS that turd was and how terribly they handled it. The third time I sent it back they sent me a new gun. A cheaper gun... In total it probably took 4 months for them to make it "right".
