That's why I only care for pistol caliber SBRs. I have a 300 upper, but 9mm is where it's at. Gimme a 7.62x39 16" and a 9mm SBR and I'm all set.

SBR needs to be suppressed. I don't really understand the point of a 5.56 SBR.

The a availability of subsonic ammo is basically non existent. Otherwise, I'm with you. My 7.62x39 is my favorite rifle caliber AR.

Nah, you can't mess up stainless like that. And the up side is if you ever change your mind you can always polish it back up again.

Agree with this, but more specifically, glass bead. I wouldn't use anything but glass media if the blast is going to be the finish. Anything you see that is a satin finish on stainless steel is usually a glass bead blasted finish. Anything like aluminum oxide, coal slag, etc. is going to leave...

I'm running mine in a 5.5" 9mm. So I probably won't have that problem. I'd say I've got 1,500-2,000 through it so far without a single hiccup aside from a magazine issue.

Worth every penny in a suppressed gun. Smooth as butter. Not sure I'd spend the money otherwise though.

Yeah. I think you're right.

I haven't done an SBR since the new bullshit rules, but it's easier than a suppressor and the wait times on the e-filed forms are much shorter.
