High Risk Civilian Contractor: Direct Action

I have my doubts as to how many, if any, actual SOCOM / JSOC members would even entertain the idea of a class taught by people who did not have similar, prior military experience. And it sounded to me exactly as 1776 described. Marketing. The class itself is probably a good evolution for...

High Risk Civilian Contractor: Direct Action

No problem. Whenever I see a class that involves that much movement, team tactics and volume of fire, I always think about my previous experience. My example was with novice shooters or more accurately, they had no prior formal training. The class went from 0-60 in one day and most of them...

High Risk Civilian Contractor: Direct Action

Which class? I was referring to a different instructor, not TR.

High Risk Civilian Contractor: Direct Action

"Our Fighting Rifle class (within one year) and HRCC Small Unit Tactics are pre-requisites for anyone who has not been in a deployable status on a Tier One SOCCOM unit within the last calendar year. This is non-negotiable." Glad to see the prerequisites listed. I attended a local class last...

High Risk Civilian Contractor: Direct Action

What exactly are we seeing here? High volume of fire to suppress or break contact? What are the prerequisites for attendance of such a class?

Would you have pulled the trigger?

No idea. But I can see it now, pintle mount on the roof, painted with black powder coat or rhino liner.

Would you have pulled the trigger?

It all happened so quickly, that I'd guess he was reacting more than thinking. Surprised that he was able to get back up though. Do it.

Would you have pulled the trigger?

Tough call. If he had tried to dodge, she could have swerved to hit him. As fast as she was coming, I doubt he could have gotten clear. Putting his vehicle between them may be the only thing that saved his life.

    Fireclean, aka Crisco?

Not sure if you read the linked thread, but that doesn't work. Cooking oils, so far, have been shown to develop a bad odor and leave behind a sticky residue. Fireclean does not exhibit these behaviors. Right. The only reason I posted the update was in an attempt to dispel the quickly growing...

    Fireclean, aka Crisco?

Here's an interesting follow up to the ongoing Fireclean debate. Based on these results, it is safe to say that Fireclean is NOT just plain old Canola oil. The results actually cast quite a bit of doubt on the reliability or accuracy of the tests performed by Vuurwapen...

    Vid of the week?

Surprised to see them not use a torque wrench. But I know a couple of other guys in the industry that use the "calibrated elbow". Build looks good, but that rail looks like a PIA to install.
