    VP9 Torture Test: Fail

I was referring to the complexity and number of small parts used in the gun. Complete disassembly is a serious undertaking, almost impossible for most owners. All that complexity, to achieve the same results as a Glock or M&P? That's the definition of over engineered to me. In this case, the...

Does fixed front sight position on an AR matter?

Disregard my previous. Just reread the OP. Rail attached front sight will work fine with a detachable carry handle. No worries.

Does fixed front sight position on an AR matter?

Late to the party as usual. @freedom, I owe you a PM. First, which front sight base is installed? "F" height or A2? Hopefully it's an F height FSB if the upper is a flat top. Sight radius won't matter, but the longer length will help you with accuracy. The height of the FSB will matter though.

    VP9 Torture Test: Fail

I'm honestly very surprised it did that badly. But it sort of confirms my feeling that the VP9 is way over engineered. I sold my VP9 for two reasons. 1) the slide stop lever was poorly positioned for my normal hand placement, resulting in frequent failures to lock. And 2) it was too large to...

If you could install a folding stock on it, you could throw it in a good backpack. But as configured, the best bet is a discreet rifle bag, rectangular shape and in a nondescript color. No exterior pouches or pockets, either. I've seen a few from various manufacturers over the years, but they...

I have a thought on this, but must resist the drift!

So, ARE YOU READY for ISIS?!?!?!

Too true. But I still think that you get bored while working from home and half your time here is just a mental exercise to stave off boredom! [emoji1]

How did we get from discussing ISIS and your daily load out to freaking climate change? I think @Laufen entertains himself by seeing just how far he can drift a thread. [emoji12]

So, ARE YOU READY for ISIS?!?!?!

Honest answer, either an M&P9c or Shield 9 is all I would likely be sporting. At the house, I keep a battle belt and PC loaded out with 34 rounds of 9mm, 120 rounds of 5.56 & IFAK. Don't really know why, but I do. The chances of me ever needing to employ them outside of a training environment...

    AAR Valor Ridge Rifleman I

I'd do my best to vet the setup before attending a class. You don't want to waste time and money during a class trying to diagnose functional issues. Just my $0.02. [emoji6]
