Holy crap, phone insurance is a racket! Wife's phone started acting up yesterday. She has the Asurion? insurance on it (I don't like it but she wanted it). What a nightmare trying to file a claim. At first they denied the claim because the phone wasn't physically damaged so I went back and fixed that, its damaged now! Since she's had the phone for almost 2 years so we basically paid for a new phone after the $200 replacement fee but are getting the same 2 year old phone as a replacement. What a rip off. Soon as that phone shows up I'm cancelling the insurance. It may be advantageous in the first year but after that it's a losing proposition.
