Yeah, I'm not wearing rose-colored glasses about it. I know that many AR-10 types out there are trouble-tastic, and I'm pretty lucky mine runs without problems (or maybe it was just built right from the start, IMHO, lol).
It may not be a tack-driver at 500y, but it's certainly Minute-of-dead-Hadji at that distance, even with ME hiding behind the less-than-perfect PA scope I've got on it (on a good day with little/no wind). Generally, if I don't hit a bowling pin I at least scare the shit out of it.
At some point, I'm going to build a 6.5C upper for that thing, and get a better scope, and then it'll be a cow-killer at 1000y (maybe, if I build it as well as I did the last one).
