    Cannot start new topics

I pulled this from an old thread and then I made it into a new topic. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? It's important to find out what's causing it and if anyone else cannot start a new topic, please add a post to this one. Thanks. SkipD for the forum staff

    Panic buy?

One thing I did buy a couple of months ago (before the public panic) was purchase a good stock of .223 bullets, magnum small rifle primers, and powder for my M193 5.56 clone loads. I now have about 1800 loaded rounds for the AR and enough materials for another 800 to 1000 or so handloads. I...

    Panic buy?

I was tempted (a little bit) to buy some more AR magazines. I have five 30's and five 20's for my one AR. The quadruple prices and lack of availability, though, made the temptation easy to toss in the bin.

    Marlin 336, change of plans!

Lookin' great. How long does the curing process take to maximize the finish toughness?

5 hurt in shootings at gun shows in Ohio, Ind., NC

As much as I hate to say it, there are some folks out there who simply shouldn't have firearms because they can't seem to adhere to the basic safety rules for them. No, I am not advocating legislation for this but safety needs to be drilled into every firearms user.

Wisconsin was involved today as well. Read this little article.

    3D printed magazines

I've seen machines that would make solid parts in a liquid bath by "drawing" on the top surface of the liquid with a laser, lowering the new hard layer a little and "drawing" another layer on top of the first. This is somewhat old technology (a bit more than ten years if I recall correctly)...

I removed my Magguts system from my LCP yesterday

I believe the "trick" is a very thin follower made of some sort of sheet metal instead of the cast plastic Ruger follwer, though I have not seen the kit.

    That's a good one, Hank. ::)

    Opinions on the S&W 360PD...

For a fun gun, I feel the same. However, for a "serious" gun (for combat) I want to be able to recover and deliver another round as quickly as possible. So, I wouldn't carry a .44 mag or anything like that for defensive use.

    Ruger LC.380!

You'd probably need not only a new barrel but also new magazines and maybe even a new slide. Feeding a significantly shorter cartridge than the pistol is designed for would be tricky without these types of tweaks.

    Ruger LC.380!

The dimensions of the .380ACP cartridge are quite different from the 9mm cartridge. Not only is the 9mm cartridge tapered (while the .380 is essentially straight-walled) but both cartridges headspace on the mouth of the cartridge. Because the two are different lengths, only the 9mm would be...

    Ruger LC.380!

I just had a thought. Instead of buying an LC380 for a light recoiling pistol, one could simply load an LC9 with "-P" (yes, that's "minus P") loads. ::)

    Ruger LC.380!

Though it's a bit heavier, the Walther PPK/S (which I have one of) is a great choice for folks who don't like the recoil of the LCP.
