One step at a time my friend. Wish I could just gift it to you. My days of buying guns all Willy nilly will be ending shortly. I foresee an engagement, a wedding, and a baby.
Congratulations. And thanks for the kind thought. Things do change, that's for sure. When my wife got so sick & my parents, her mom & our sister-in-law all died within a span of a couple of years (geez, no wonder I had a stroke) guns got less important than a lot of stuff. But I truly have more blessings than I can count.

And that's a great deal on the CZ. Somebody oughta jump on it.

My only complaints about the Explorers is the mpg.

I think that's true of all mid 90's to early 2000's small/compact SUV's(and trucks). They got the MPG of bigger V8's but the performance of 4cyl's. Of course, that was back when an SUV was a true SUV and not these crossovers that we have today that will bottom out going over a curb.

I didn’t want to build one shorter than 11.5 just my preference for a carbine set up.
By using BHT that’s a great solution and custom ch is really cool idea.
with the WAR upper I think supers would cycle but subs may not even with a can but you can try I guess. That’s how I usually go about it ... tell me no and I’ll try to find a way if possible to re engineer something to work. LoL
Edit: Black River Tactical, not BHT...memory fails sometimes...

Yeah, if you drill your CH, use a 1/16" drill bit and just angle that puppy in there.
On my .300 upper I went with a "Latchless" CH (automatically ambi since no latch and doesn't need to pivot) and it's got a gas redirection system built in so I don't even need to drill it. 0AAB5FD9-CF5A-44E0-A5FA-1EFA5569CC92.jpeg

Mail call. View attachment 59047 Black Friday pouches and mags came today from SGAmmo... 5 Croatian BHO mags and the orange pouch for $50. I know some of you aren't fans of the Croat mags, but for $10 a mag, and they are in light oil.. so good for deep boogaloo storage.
I like that orange pouch

Only matters where I'm going
Ok, I think it did have a 6 digit. I was thinking it should have a letter prefix and 4 digits so that's why I wasn't sure.

I offered $700 flat for both and he said $700 plus tax. I hesitantly walked. So I believe it is a Sino...it was on par with the nicest SKSs I've seen, like even the one I sold @jimipanic. Unbelieveable condition for the age. I may go back tomorrow and get it. Can't decide.
Get them and I'll get that paratrooper from you

That costs extra

So does a new gun...

Too True!!!

My '93 4R 4x4 gets 11-12 mpg. for a 3.0 V6, that's disgusting.
My '98 T-100 2x gets 12-15mpg, with a 3.4 V6
My 2002 4R 2x gets 14-17mpg with almost the same 3.4 V6

When I get the 3.4 V6 for the 1993, it should get me back into the 15-16 mpg range again for The Beast, which will eventually make it all worthwhile for the 4x4...

My '02 S-10 ZR-2 with the 4.3L V6 gets 16mpg city and 12mpg Highway. Yes, it gets worse MPG on the highway than it does in the city, but that's because it has been re-geared due to the lift and tires. People who do LS swaps to them report about anywhere between 20-25mpg due to the increased power and not needing to be in the higher RPM ranges at any sort of speed. I've debated LS1 swapping my ZR-2 but I don't know I want to do that to a pretty rare truck in mint condition with only 115k original miles. It's only going up in value how it sits now.
