Yep, I’ve fucked around with the gas buster charging handles and adjustable blocks. The only system that was noticeably better was a combination of a “suppressed” Bolt, gas buster CH AND adjustable gas block. I shoot so many rifles and different cans I couldn’t afford to dress everything fancy. Just hold my breath indoors and give zero fucks outside

I’m sure there are way better products and combinations of products than I’ve used. I just kinda gave up on mitigating gas unless it’s straight eye-watering, throat closing, gasping for air bad. My 10.5” with a sealed .30 cal can on it can cloud me up, so I just run it loud. I hate shooting suppressors indoors anyways so usually if I’m at work I don’t even keep a can on. Outside it’s better for sure
Once I got cans I ended up using them a lot less than I thought

Hell I'm invested $1K for a can, I can afford to try a $100 charging handle, win or lose. And it's not even $100 EXTRA when you consider what a standard upgraded charging handle would have cost...say BCM Mod 4 which is what I probably would have bought.
Yeah, what I used was an A2 that was eye-watering as hell indoor. But it was bone-stock. I figure the stuff I'm using hopefully will be better, if only slightly. If not, at least it's working very well without the can and didn't cost a mint.

It won’t be zero difference, but it won’t be life changing either. With the right combination you can tone it down though.

Worst case scenario, I sell the Colt bcg out of it and buy a Gemtech bcg. My brother says it makes a big difference with his AR when running suppressed.
