Okay, so nobody has cut their standard AKM safety to hold the bolt open? @I.D.-ten-T cut his but his is a Yugo. I was trying to see if I could cut mine further back since mine doesn't have the thumb tab on top of the safety...

You could cut it the same way. As for cutting it farther back, I'd say rack the bolt and see. A third option is buy the Krebs enhanced safety

It would be hard to take a pic of anything unusual, just doesn't want to seat all the way. I've tried 2 different bayonets..
