this is quoted from another forum as well look at this
“It seems to most often be an issue where the ramp leading to the tab (from top rear of the mags feed lip) starts to hit the rear of the mag well. This keeps the mag from going deeper and makes it hard for the catch to clear the tab. Filing the rear of the mag well back 1mm, for just the width of the mag catch/rib, seems to be about right in these cases. This usually appears in only WASRs and kit builds in my very limited experience.”
I’m not saying it’s the way it’s just part of something to maybe look at. I’d approach everything slowly and exhaust all the options, but that’s meWait no sorry mag well on the gun duh
Sorry trying to follow are you referring to the RPK mag release? It does have a slight curve to it on the top closet the boltSup with the round corners in that slot? Do lugs actually ft in that?

Good to know. I’m paying attention to the mag release as I go through these mags. It’s weird. Some fit good some fit ok and some are like fuck nah. It just needs to be filed down a little. But getting to it is apparently the hardest part.I've filed mag releases in place. It takes fo-eva and you do end up scratching stuff no matter what, even with diamond detail files. There's just not enough throw on the file to get any work out of it.
