Was wondering this too. A mini file must exist and ah a jewelry’s file it is called.
I think that’s what they’re called I have a set of four, four different shapes that I’ve used for tight spaces

this is quoted from another forum as well look at this

“It seems to most often be an issue where the ramp leading to the tab (from top rear of the mags feed lip) starts to hit the rear of the mag well. This keeps the mag from going deeper and makes it hard for the catch to clear the tab. Filing the rear of the mag well back 1mm, for just the width of the mag catch/rib, seems to be about right in these cases. This usually appears in only WASRs and kit builds in my very limited experience.”

I've filed mag releases in place. It takes fo-eva and you do end up scratching stuff no matter what, even with diamond detail files. There's just not enough throw on the file to get any work out of it.
Good to know. I’m paying attention to the mag release as I go through these mags. It’s weird. Some fit good some fit ok and some are like fuck nah. It just needs to be filed down a little. But getting to it is apparently the hardest part.

Go buy the smallest squeeze clamp you can from HF and clamp the release in the open position.

Then you can get in there better with a file or dremel. Try to put an angle and make it ramp downward, that way it won't wobble and if you have mags that are older or newer it will still engage.
