a bunch of the reviews say vortex makes a stout optic. There was even one there they took a Sparc 2 and put it in a fire, then dumped it into water, shot it with a .22, and a bunch of other stuff and the dot stayed on. Then they got a new one under warranty.

Has anyone gotten to handle one of these? I think its great how they use the mount for the controls and battery instead of it being wasted space. I also like how it doesnt have much of anything protruding from the body of it. What do yall think...

Mine actually stays really clean since it spends 99% of the time not in a real holster, I use a Raven Concealment Vanguard 2. Due to the style of "holster" it spends its time between cotton shorts and cotton boxers so it is constantly being wiped down. Only downside is no leather or plastic...

ive been shopping around for a new stock. I like the MOE SL stock, but they also have the "k" model that's smaller height wise. It's a bit cheaper which is why I'm actually interested in it. What pros or cons would there be to the smaller stock? Here it is...

I could see the use of 800 lumens if it had a long throw with minimal splash for use on rifles, but pistols it seems like it would cause more harm then good.

whate walls + 800 lumens = you get blinded as wel as the bad guy.

I was just clicking around looking for deals and saw the Streamlight TLR-1 HL now puts out 800 lumens. Am I alone in thinking that is too bright for a weapon light? Especially one designed for a pistol. I've never thought any of my 200 lumen lights were too dim.
