    Ruger's Handgun Ammo

The big difference is the weight of the projectile. The Lehigh is 115 gr in 9mm. This stuff is 74. I can't think of any advantage to the extreme low weight (well added velocity but not enough imo)

    Ruger's Handgun Ammo

A 74 gr 9mm round? Why? Only thing I can think of is that it might be decent in .380

Why do you think you will be less stressed when SHTF?

    Lower ammo prices?

I get that there are other factors. My point is that the material costs going down will not have much of an impact on the overall price. Reloading is not at all like manufacturing. When reloading, the materials cost a lot more because you are just putting things together. The manufacturer takes...

    Lower ammo prices?

Well I don't think the material cost is much more than a couple cents per round. The rest of the cost is coming from somewhere. It's not just profit. Manufacturing facilities do not run themselves. you can call it overhead I guess.

    Lower ammo prices?

The cost of Ammo has much more to do with the cost of labor, overhead, and shipping than it does with copper or other commodities. For example if copper cost $2 a pound the amount of copper in a 124 grain 9mm fmj costs about $0.00714 (assuming about 25 grains of copper - there are 7000 grains in...

Gun Shop Etiquette Top Ten Rules

I agree for the most part but I often break the first rule. When I'm trying to decide between two firearms it's nice to have them side by side to compare sizes. Why is that considered bad form? I've never really questioned doing it

    Medical condition set backs....

It actually irritates me that type I and II diabetes share the same name.. but that is a discussion for another day. I cant tell you how many times my wife has been asked by type II diabetics if she developed diabetes from eating too much sugar or being overweight....

    Medical condition set backs....

I'm assuming you have type II diabetes. Very different in that type I is an autoimmune disease that causes complete lack of insulin. I have not read anywhere that cinnamon has been shown to supplement insulin in type I. It just doesn't make sense that it would

    Medical condition set backs....

I often have the same thought because my wife has type one diabetes. Besides keeping some extra insulin and needles/supplies around I don't know of much we can do. The shelf life on insulin is not long as far as I know so we wouldn't survive long without it. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to...

NFL Roll Call and Trash talking thread

Nope. We beat the Eagles who were supposed to have an awesome offense. The D struggled when our offense had a few 3 and outs in a row in 3rd quarter. The O line is still bad but not as bad as last year. Totally different team from last season. I'm excited about Quinn.

    PSA makes AK's Now!?

Their shipping has been really fast lately. I ordered two ar kits last week and they arrived at my door in two days. I've ordered a couple other things the last few months and never waited more than a week.

If the NFA stuff was totally erased

It would be interesting to see the changes that would occur in the manufacturing of new guns. I assume a lot of new factory sbrs, full auto, and probably integrally suppressed stuff. It's fun to dream

    Gun Rights Activism

Take people out shooting. Teach them about gun safety and responsible gun ownership. Show them that guns don't have a mind of thier own.

If the NFA stuff was totally erased

I agree some things are useful. The 7 inch ars you see all over are not. If it wasn't for the wait time I think there would be a lot more people buying NFA stuff

If the NFA stuff was totally erased

I don't think that is weird. I think NFA items would lose their "cool factor" if the NFA was done away with. People would look more at a guns practicality. Right now sbrs are cool because you can't just go out and buy one. Let face it, a lot of people buy guns because they think they are...
