I looked really hard at the Sandman S. But my uses for this particular can really doesn't require one that robust. Plus, it's hard to beat the value for performance of the Harvester if you know you won't be using it on short barrels or maintaining a high ROF on a regular basis.

That's interesting. Had not heard that before, but I guess it does make sense. The Harvester doesn't allow changing of the end cap, so no worries there. And it won't be used on anything under an 18" barrel length, so any difference in suppression would be minimal, I'm sure.

It was nice and snug. There's an angled shoulder along the outer tube that basically works like a compression mount. Threads were nice and clean, so it spins on smoothly and just snugs up on the shoulder. They also offer a 5.56 end cap, if you're into that kind of thing. The most impressive part...

First impression? Looks like it would be very uncomfortable, no retention of the firearm and too much effort to draw. Also would prevent a draw if you are seated.

That Speer Lawman 147 tmj looks like a pretty good deal. The TMJ would help minimize lead fouling also.
