Good question. It definitely seems like the tech has plateaued. Original designs like the one that came out a couple of years ago resembling jet engine turbines, didn't perform as well as current baffle stacks.

Wouldn't be surprised. But I don't remember the details of bullet weight and material. I just remember it was way heavier than anything commercially available and specially made for mil use.

223 subs will generally NOT cycle the AR platform. However, the military reportedly developed a load that would, using a super heavy, elongated bullet. Last I heard, they weren't available in the civilian market and cost around $5 a round. Plenty of folks shoot them out of bolt guns though.

I know man. Botach sucks at follow through, but you'll get it eventually. Used to be that you might not get it at all, but they seem to have gotten better. It was a good deal, so I can't blame you at all.

I would. I'm not really a fan of piston AR's in general and the Sig isn't really "special". And I'd love to have an Ed Brown 1911. But in all seriousness, how does the math work out? Upon further review, definitely yes!
