    SHTF: 5.56 or bust?

I shoot brass almost exclusively for this reason. BUT, if budget is a real concern, steel can be had for a good bit less. Especially if you're buying multiple cases, it can start to add up.

    SHTF: 5.56 or bust?

Wolf runs fine in most guns, but you do have to clean them more often, especially the chamber. The biggest issue I see is stuck cases. The result of a dirty chamber. I've never seen a PSA gun in either the Premium line or the Hammer Forged line that wouldn't run wolf. I've never fooled around...

    SHTF: 5.56 or bust?

Sort of depends on this guy's budget. The gun really isn't the question. With the price of AR's these days, there's not much difference between a serviceable AR and a good AK. If it were me, I'd say get a decent AR, maybe a good PSA model and then stack up some Wolf steel cased ammo as high as...

    2 piece 9mm AR Bolt?

I figured someone made them or they were coming. I just don't dabble in subguns much.

    2 piece 9mm AR Bolt?

    Pretty much.

    2 piece 9mm AR Bolt?

The only advantage I see, assuming that it doesn't create any reliability issues, is that you can easily swap the bolt face for other calibers. And if they were so inclined, they could offer different weight carrier tails. But someone would need to offer uppers in other calibers for any of that...

    2 piece 9mm AR Bolt?

LOL! PS: I know you know the difference. Didn't mean for that to sound like I was pontificating in response to you. But I am curious what you think about it.

    2 piece 9mm AR Bolt?

A couple of good videos demonstrating bolt bounce I suppose the question is, what would this look like if the carrier were two separate reciprocating parts?

    2 piece 9mm AR Bolt?

Not sure why I didn't get a notification on this sooner. I'd like to see one of these on high speed film. It doesn't look like the halves mate together as a single unit. The idea of being able to switch the bolt face out to shoot 40 S&W or 45 ACP is pretty interesting. To me, a caliber change...

What suppressor for a precision upper?

I thought really hard about the Ultra 7, but ended up going with the Harvester for a little less than half the cost. A lot of guys seem to be having good results with them. I also decided that my next can will probably be a Rugged Surge 762. Those things are nice!

    Omega suppressors coming apart?

Rocksett seemed like an odd choice to me also. And those Sigs are surprisingly light. Ugly as sin, but light!

    Omega suppressors coming apart?

Looks like they're fixing them. One report was that a guy had his back in about a week. No surprise there. Looks to be a design or QC issue. The interesting thing is, the can design would allow for easy repair in the event of a baffle strike since the outer sleeve essentially does nothing...

    Sandman S

Referring to the flats above and below the ports. I'd bet they fit an armorers wrench.

    Sandman S

It looks like the flats are similar to the AAC brake, integrated with the body on top and bottom.

    No flats?

    Omega suppressors coming apart?

There's an interesting thread running over on AR15.COM showing an Omega that came apart. Outer tube separated from the core. At least two other users have chimed in with similar experiences. Has anyone here heard about this? Thoughts...

What suppressor for a precision upper?

All mine are 1/2x28, naturally. Being able to swap the thread adapter out will be a nice bonus.

    Banic?

Considering that the President's press conference today was about Syria and not some new gun legislation, I think we'll be fine.

What suppressor for a precision upper?

The worst thing I found out today is that I missed out on a Harvester being sold by a private seller for $400! Only 60 rounds through it... [emoji35]

    Rugged Surge 762!

Normal cook offs due to the rate of fire. But it did a good job of demonstrating that the modular design would outperform the capabilities of an AR.
