Ill look into the heavier weight .223 for sure. it looks like there is cheap steel cased 6.5 even though I know it wont be super accurate it should be able to hit a 8" gong at 100 yards I hope. even if not, 6.5 or 6.8 doesnt appear to be much more than .308

Only concern with .223 is I don't know if I trust it enough for hunting. I wouldn't want to use it in deer. I know .223 is enough for coyotes but what about hogs? If I can't use it on deer I'd be fine with it, but I want something that would work on hogs for sure.

I like them, the AK mag ARs that is. Not pleated pants. I think they look cool. If I already had an AK I would maybe buy one.

I think it's a good idea. The issue I see is that many complained that the M-16 was already too long for use clearing buildings. Putting a can on a 14" M-4 brings the length up to or over the M-16.
