they do a great job, I have shot .22, 9mm, .45, .223, and .308 with them and they sound noticeably quieter then the howard leight electronic muffs I have, to me at least. I dont have a good way to quantify it but I can tell a difference for sure.
My new favorite hearing protection, the Walker's Razor XV. These are fantastic and incredibly useful for more than just shooting. These are Bluetooth capable and the manufacturer states they have a 31db sound reduction while still allowing ambient noise to be heard.
The body of it hangs...
Thank you for the clarification. Ive been reading some this morning and it looks like I may be ok with a .223 for what I want. I do think a .308 would be more fun but cheaper ammo is really nice.
thanks for the info, If I end up going that route I will get one in .308, if you havent swapped your barrel out by then we can go out and do a side by side with them.
I was in the same boat but I loved the atari. My parents didnt have much money when i was a kid so I got my dads old atari and a black and white TV for christmas (this was in like '91) all my friends loved to come over to play it though since it was like having arcade games in my room.
Thanks for the insight. I need to research various .223 loads more. I just want to make sure I can humanely put down a hog with it. From what some of y'all have said the heavier bullets seem to do the job.
Sears' business model was great before the internet, I pass by the giant ass old sear building on Ponce all the time. I think they would have been better off splitting into a tool store and a separate appliance store.
It may be worth waiting then. I still plan on getting a Glock mag AR, a HD shotgun, a .22, and a couple more pistols. So I can wait a bit for a precision gun.
If I dont build an AR pattern it will take me a while to save my money.
The reason I was looking at the precision and the MVP were more if I decided to not worry about customizing and they already have the things I would want to upgrade to anyway. Its purely for aesthetics but I like the...
I know, Im not proud of it.
I know, for my needs all of this is all over kill. But, I like projects. I have thought about just saying fuck it and getting one of the below because most of the work is already done and they would do everything I could ever want and more. The main thing I dont...
too late, I already love .308
of course going with .308 also causes me to have to go back to deciding between a AR platform or a Rem 700.
I am way too indecisive, I just need to win the lottery so I can buy one of each and not worry about it.
true, but if I am going to build out a .308 pattern AR then I will just stick with .308 since I already have another rifle in that caliber. I wanted to stick with a standard AR platform because parts are cheaper/easier to find than a .308 build.
