I don't know much about these rifles. I am referring to the new ones by Springfield and not an old m-14. Pros and cons? Accuracy? Good for hunting or long range?

I think PSA grew faster than they planned and their quality dropped as a means to keep up with demand. We didn't used to hear about nearly as many issues with them

Semi shotguns are nice. My dad has a Berretta AL391 and after a day of dove shooting his shoulder is a lot less sore than mine.

870 or 500 will do fine, they are inexpensive and you can pop a shorter barrel on if you feel the need.

I just don't want to have to worry about stocking another type of mag. This way I can stick with glock and AR mags only. Two calibers and two types of mags will make things simpler

I think I could work with something like this (not the colt mag). I guess I'll aim for a 4 or 5" barrel. I hadn't factored a flash hider into it either so that would give me a little wiggle room.

I'm with you on the first three. What is the downside of a barrel over 5"?

It wouldnt be my first choice if someone kicked down the door, but I would like to be able to stash it upstairs so I can grab it if need be and I can't get to my AR.

I'm wide open to suggestions on barrel length. If y'all think 8" is too long I'm not against going shorter. I don't plan on doing a mag block. It would be a dedicated glock mag lower.

Not immediately but I would suppress it eventually. I want 9mm because if cheaper ammo. It wouldn't be primarily for home defense but I like to have all my guns reliable and functional enough to do it if the need arises.

It would be for range/Home defense. I'm not against going shorter but I don't want it so short that I have no space up front for my hand.

I don't have a suppressor for it so I want a little more barrel/rail length. If I ever get a can for it I would probably replace the barrel for a shorter one.
