1st off... If you have back up iron sights, and you want to use them if you optic gos down, it MIGHT be a good idea, if you can flip them up and see through your optic. The ones that sit under your optic, that you can't flip up make no sense to me. Also since they are just back-up sights, and...

The 249's are full auto only, they have chromed lined barrels, (just like the M4's and M16's) and they last about as long as the M16's... And thats about 40-50k.

Army service rifles last about 40-50k ish... Before the barrel needs to be replaced. I dont see how you can get 100,000 rounds out of a barrel... Maybe 75k but not 100,000 rounds.

I have 3 of them... I used them all the time at Ft. McCoy, WI. From 90 degree days to -20 in the winter... I like them.

To be honest, I like the GI mags, but I make sure they have the Israeli follower. ( Its in all of the Pmags BTW...)

Oh, I forgot to add that Tula .45 ACP ammo works great in my G21... But Winchester White Box sucks out of the G21... I try to pick up the Federal brass from Walmart whenever I can.

Don't use Silver bear .223 ammo, it sucks... I'm done with steel case ammo, I like PMC bronze, and the ZQ1 I found a Walmart for awhile.
