That's Jeff. He is the old whitehaired guy that used to work at Norcross Gun Club. He used to drive the white F-150 and have his GSD in the bed during the nicer weather months. He's a great guy and really knowledgeable, despite the gun in that ad. He does a lot of trading, he probably traded into that one.

You could weld up those holes and refinish it good as new.

It would be expensive but it could be done.

I have seen so much of this...it makes me sad every time.
Do you have the hardware and stuff that would be needed for putting it back to somewhat original? One thought comes to mind is some "old school" mounts/rings, and an older scope (gun show find) to make a "period correct" sporter or fake sniper out of it. I wouldn't spend a fortune to weld it up, but I'd try to make it as respectable as I could.

Thinking about selling the WASR UF and getting an AMD-65. Wanna set one up like @Fast306stang with the bakelite grips. Anybody interested in the WASR before I list it to the masses? Will sell with or without reverse dong. If no reverse dong you're gonna need a new upper hand guard and gas tube. I gave my other one away. $800 with full length reverse dong(not my chopped one, my OG one), standard thread protector(no 74 brake) and sling: No mag, no bayonet, just the gun, thread protector, the reverse dong furniture set and the sling. $700 with standard Romy lower handguard, no upper handguard or gas tube, sling, and thread protector.
