I don't have any wood furniture to do a dye job on, but honestly I'm an amateur at best. @jimipanic is the real deal.

All I did was sand the WASR furniture and do like 3-4 coats of the rit/shellac mix, letting each coat dry for a few hours before applying the next. Hell I think I was drunk for most of it.


So what you are saying us.... send my bakelite grip and forearm to @jimipanic so he can match the grip to the forearm?

Was just looking at this; is that WASR furniture? (I'm not an AK aficionado, but based on the nails in the stock, I ventured a guess)...

I'd really like to get my hands on some ultra-nice red furniture, but if that's all that is coming up at the moment, I might bite....
Metal pins in the laminate stock is AK milspec. 4 pins, IIRC. Polish and Russian have them too.

Sounds legit, I just recall the "pins" being more noticeable in WASR furniture for some reason ... but in any event, I'd still like some slick-looking red furniture (like Atlantic was selling) ...
