Yes. I've owned 1911's that cost $5,000+ and I'll never buy any 1911 that's not a DW ever again unless I decide to finally pony up the cash and have Combat Precision build me a custom 1911.

Never personally held a Vigil. I've also never seen or held a DW 1911 that didn't ooze quality either so I'd assume that it's g2g.

Shot a friend's Vigil in 9mm. GTG. Same quality as any other Dan Wesson i've shot. It's an aluminum frame on both .45 & 9mm models. A Vigil Commander in 9mm was my goal for a carry gun if our $ ever improve. I say was because I want to fondle one of the new Dan Wesson DWX compacts cuz I think I'm inlove.
I had a 9mm DW Guardian and still kick myself for trading it. That was one of my favorite 1911's ever. I traded it for a 10mm CBOB, which I thought I wanted more at the time but even as I was driving to the trade I was already starting to regret it. Aluminum frame, bobtail, 9mm Commander is just about the perfect carry 1911 IMO.
Be careful having socks with the ladies from the office.
