Parts of it.
It is a cooling system for engines same setup we all know, but without a pump. The heating and cooling of the coolant/water does the pumping.
So... probably some one way valves in there. Those working?

Nope, no valves. Its all open pipe to radiator. It does have a thermostat and a surge tank.
