I’m thinking either 9mm or some kind of revolver. I get 22 is the best gun to learn off of but I doubt that will be what he goes with lol
Great things about revolvers for new shooters:
1) Recoil will not cause it to jam when they limp-wrist.
2) Heavy DA trigger pull will teach trigger control
3) Since reloads take longer, shooters with revolvers tend to try to make their rounds HITS.
4) No heavy recoil springs to fight when chambering a round
5) No stupid safety to forget to flip before engaging target(s)
6) Revolvers can be left loaded for extended periods of time without the magazine springs going bad, causing misfeeds and jams.

Yes that’s kind of my line of thinking. Simple easy and everyone knows how to make it go boom. We’ll be meeting up there tomorrow at 9am. Sounds like he’s gonna walk outta there with something. Not sure of how background checks are done at gun shows for non CCW holders. I’ve always been one and I’ve only filled out a 4473 at a gun show
