No you’re correct. If your gasblock is vented, you would run a non vented tube (to be “correct”) because venting is taking place in the gas block.

If you gas block did NOT have venting holes, it would use a vented gas tube to accommodate for venting

So, in my rush to put the WASR back together, I've effectively added 3 more vents to an already vented block .... so in the meantime, I'll be on the search for an unvented gas tube to replace it and pull that puppy off and put it back where it came from.

Now, just for shits and giggles, I gotta ask, if I went to fire it in its current condition, what would happen? I'm just curious....

Nothing it would work fine for thousands and thousands and thousands of rounds with either gas tube, it’s irrelevant it will cause zero issues with either tube so if you like the vents and don’t wanna mess with taking off the upper Hg run it like that forever and a day. If you’re wanting to be super aesthetically correct for the country of origin or build etc throw a non-vented romanian tube on there Just to feel complete inside

Sometimes I blow stupid amounts of money to hunt down the correct part that is completely unnecessary to my weapons functioning well lol in fact sometimes it performs worse because i refuse to stray from the original pattern I.E. Hungarian AMD-65 wire folding stock and squared off pistol grips, but I’m a nerd

Did my version of octane & BBQ with @Jake earlier today since I have to leave out again tomorrow, he let me drive his bimmer (Full disclosure, I stalled it within the first 100 yds as I haven't driven a stick in a few yrs; I'm sure he was laughing at me while I tried to figure out where the clutch engaged).
