@Jds556762, another question I keep meaning to ask. I notice you guys send off your AK kits to be built. Can you not buy a receiver like an AR lower & build your own? Do the AK receivers require milling or something & is that because of the stupid import laws?

It's because guys like @noclevername , @Wudee , @Rabbit2047 , @Balthaz and @Leadhoof have all become privy to the world of Black Magic that is AK building.

It's somewhat akin to VOODOO, and requires blood sacrifices, headspace gauges, snake charming (not the @karlvv type), riveting tools, scrotum piercing, witches' cauldrons, the AK Book of the Dead, and catatonic gypsies dancing under a full moon.


So, while a typical MORON like myself (or @cmshoot ) can assemble an AR-15 (well, I SOMETIMES get it right...), it takes one of the above-mentioned Witch Doctors to do an AK...correctly.
