Oh yeah. Fixing to go crank the car up and sit in the driveway lol. House is heating up for sure...

My HVAC system sucks. During the hottest part of the summer I have a couple window units that I have to run to keep the house cool. My AC went out last summer and those window units were a saving grace. You can find smaller 5,000btu units for around $125. Good insurance to keep around for times like this. If you want to borrow one I'll meet you half way.

He got one that wasn't properly maintained and probably dogged out then. The 4.0L inline 6 is one of the most reliable and proven motors ever put in a Jeep. Your sample size of one is not indicative of the reliability of the 4.0L. There's a reason the TJ's demand a premium still to this day. As @Jstegman1 is finding out, it's hard to find a nice 4.0L TJ for under $10k. They hold their value better than any other mass produced vehicle.
Any air cooled VW from 1949-1985 is worth 2x to 20x what they cost new depending on condition. I don’t know any Jeeps that can claim that. Maybe the older Willys

Dang man! That is a hell of an offer!

My shop teacher just left, it was the cap. $150 parts and labor, I ain't complaining especially being today is Sunday. If it had happened yesterday when the shop was open, I could have done it myself for less than $50. Sure beats $4200 for a new unit though!

I think I need to grab a few spare caps when we move in the new house. Might be a good idea to have a few on hand.

Are you always a know-it-all and a one-upper or is it just coincidence that every time you post you come off as an arrogant asshole?
