Well, maybe that's because I've never driven one, let alone owned one. But the shop in Atlanta that knows a TON about them and rebuilds old ones pulled out of African safari places seems to think they're pretty good...They also gave high marks to the Sequoia. Apparently it isn't one of the fanboi favorites because of its size and reputation as a soccer mom ride, but it's a helluva sleeper.
Well, of course they would .
The BMW shop I used to go to when I couldnt fix something also spoke VERY highly of BMWs.

Anybody that makes a list of offroad vehicles and doesn't put a Jeep Wrangler at the top I can't take them seriously.

Well, IF it's been heavily modified by the right mechanic, even a Ford Festiva can go offroad into crazy places...

Used to have an International Harvester Traveler(long wheelbase Harvester) I was gonna put 1 tons under it and throw it on some 38's or 40's but while it was sitting a tree fell on it and crushed it along with my dreams. That's when I bought my TJ.

(Not mine but it's the exact color and year as mine was)

Man that is sweet. I forgot about those and the scout. Great memories coming back. I wanted a a Jeep Honcho back in the day as well.
