Fucking fish tank has turned out to be waaaaaay more expensive than I ever imagined. I might as well have just gone with a saltwater set up now with how much I have into this new tank.

Current setup....

(Water is cloudy in these pics because I had just done a 25% water change prior to taking pics and was rearranging everything in there. Also used my siphon to clean up shit on the bottom and stirred everything up. It's clear now that all of that shit has settled/been run through my filter.)

Really debating this 13.5 gal Fluval EVO(my current tank is a 9 gal Fluval Flex, the freshwater equivelant) and setup a small reef tank before I do my BIG Cichlid tank.

@Blue bio balls @Fast306stang we need a fish thread! I need y'all to school me on marine/reef tanks. I just want a fucking reef tank with a few exotic clown species and I really want a seahorse and a starfish, maybe an anemone.

They aren't dead! Took it out in a dark room and they glow well. I guess cupping my hand over them in a bright store isn't good for assessment...

I’ve noticed that night sights work FAR longer than most people think they will.
Only set of night sights I have that are truly dead are on my CZ75 PCR. But, oddly, the ones on my Yugo M70AB2 still glow, and I have no idea how old those are!!!

I have a Luminox watch I had bought in 1998. Tritium stil glows, watch still works, 22 years later..

The shop near me had some large seahorses last weekend. Man, they are super cool. I haven't looked into them but IIRC, I believe they like very low water movement and they have to be target fed. But don't quote me on that, as I could very well be wrong.

If you want something crazy, I've run across a forum that is strictly for cuttlefish once. They don't have a long lifespan but I think they're awesome...

Never thought about over penetration. Interesting. So 77 grain 5.56 is optimal when trying to reduce/eliminate over penetration? Along with a longer pistol barrel
The move to 77 grain over 62 grain was driven by the dismal performance of 62 grain out of a 10.5 inch barrel, rendering it a 30 meter or less range gun for effective ops It was more about killing than fragmentation/over penetration.

Just found this....good read from a subject matter expert.

I set up a saltwater evo for my boss 3 years ago for Christmas, and it went well. No sea horse, starfish or anemones allowed though.
