I have what was a very nice teak lower handguard.... Unfortunately there is a major crack along the grain line so it is completely unserviceable.

Time to see how well lacquered wood takes the dye...

It's annoying that the fancy connector I got doesn't play nice with the fancy trigger I got.

I’m going with the Haley Skimmer @CQB27 told me about last night. Fully OEM Glock parts that have been polished to hell and back, and are now ridiculously nice. With a smooth trigger face, instead of the serrated shit I currently have.

OK, watched vids, looked at all the products, and got 1 question: Why not get the Hackathorn for $1 less, and have 3 options?

It's basically the same kit......with two 5.0 reduced power striker springs and a reduced safety spring added....that I wouldn't use because I don't shoot "competition" and wouldn't want anything below 3-4lbs for carry anyway. YMMV

The lacquer did not seem to have much effect on the absorption of the dye.

I boiled this a little longer in hopes to get that nice Bulgarian Plum color...

I would say I was pretty close.
