And it might have the whole S/N somewhere else on the rifle ( but I don't think they do...) but I'd do your dead level best on determining the actual S/N on that rifle with matching numbers with other parts, that you think will match.... I don't think the ATF cares about a 75 year old bolt action gun.

hang on just one second. I never said the weigh was worth it. 3.oz is a big jump for optic weight. however I do prefer a larger field of view and ocular lens.....

So would 3oz push you one way or the other? And what’s everyone’s opinion on a 1 MOA rmr dot size for rifle application? I have a 3.25 MOA Rmr I use on PS90 and sub guns and it’s good but what about out to 200-250y??

3.5moa dot only covers 7 inches at 200yds. If you have to be more precise than 7 inches at 200... Maybe a red dot isn't the best tool for the job.
