My Father in law. He flew several tours in Vietnam, even had to eject once on a mission because his plane was damaged. Managed to make it to the coast when he punched out and was rescued. He commanded a fighter base in Germany and also did some really cool work with NASA back in the early days chasing rockets into space with his starfighter. He's got some cool stories to tell

The SR71 and U2 are my favorite planes! We had a U2 here that needed some repairs, I volunteered for that crew but I didn't get picked, I think they abandoned hope of it ever flying again. We got it from California bc they messed it up so bad and the repair was beyond their scope of ability.
