I had no idea it was produced in limited numbers until this morning. I was surfing around on the 1911 forum and found a post by the VP of DW stating 300 produced in 2017, 100 produced in 2018, none in 2019, the DW web site currently shows it "Discontinued". But I think DW might be like Arsenal......sometimes they "raise the dead", lol.

Wow. 1 of 400...I had a feeling it was uncommon, hence my "rare bird" statement, but WOW. That's awesome. Something else I noticed is the grips seem to cover more of the gun, they're wider from the front strap to the mainspring housing it seems. And I absolutely love that. A lot of factory production grips are narrower in that regard...

Have you looked at the safety yet? I love they way they're milled/contoured. Solid. And absolutely crisp when snapped on/off.

Yeah I have. I completely disassembled it last night. All the small parts are tooled steel and it's very obvious they were fitted to the gun before finishing. The thumb safety is the best "on/off" I have ever felt in a production gun. I mean like so good that when I picked up my Colt rail gun this morning to compare the two I laughed out loud......and I actually like the Colt rail gun a lot! I remember your posts in V 1.0 about your DW......I actually feel a little stupid for not buying a DW back then, lol. I probably won't be buying another 1911 for a long time, two's enough for me. But, if I ever do buy another 1911 it's going to be a DW or nothing. I forgot to mention I fired 50 rounds through it yesterday.....it's a better shooter than my rail gun too, but I'm not too surprised about that.

Edit to add: We have really Fudded Up the thread this morning, lol.

The CZ DWs are game changers for sure. That positive snap on the safety, they're all like that. Except for my (I'm assuming) pre CZ...I don't remember how it was and I owned that gun for less than 24 hours. Cuz I'm a dummy sometimes lol. I also owned a CBOB for about 4 hours! I got it in trade specifically to get that Colt King Cobra. Should have kept the DW lol. Live and learn.

Even the Heritage I bought brand new had an amazing fit and finish. And that's the entry level, least attention to detail 1911 they make. Something you made me realize...every DW I bought, new or used, would cost me more today than I bought them for. Hmmm. I won't tell you I bought my PM2 for $400!

I wouldn't pay that for Tapco'ed out SKS with a mag well they might be monkeyed with get that duckbill mag to fit/feed. But I am an "all original" man when it comes to communist rifles.

You see all the shoes and flip flops? That's cause they all hauled ass when the Guys with the sticks started coming. One didn't make it out in time. The concern for this one left on the ground is overwhelming.

I'm still learning the AK/SKS pricing in the wild. I was thinking $225 maybe the way it was sitting. I'm not a fan of the tapco on really anything.

Wasn't someone looking for one of these or something similar? @Old Skool maybe?
