    Gun Rights Activism

It is also wise to let them try various kinds of shooting. Someone who may never be interested in pistols may really love shooting clays. Each has its own merits to enjoy. Don't try and force people to become tactical mall ninjas if they aren't into that. Anyone we can get to enjoy any kind...

    Gun Rights Activism

I have taken several non-shooting friends out over the years. I have made a couple of pretty serious gun nuts out of a couple of them. The key is to show them the fun side of shooting without getting into politics first. Many people think a gun is gonna walk up and shoot them (understandably...

Maybe she's a saint... But seriously. Guns + Tannerite = FUN! (Unless there is something terribly wrong.) Pretty sure she is from space or some shit. (Tannerite = war = sadness???) -Who did you marry? Rainbow Brite?

You need a divorce. Seriously. -Sure. Divorce is costly, but not nearly so costly as being married to a soulless cyborg.

    History of NFA Trusts????

Thanks- It has always been a curiosity of mine.

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

I share that same opinion, unfortunately. If you really want to be shocked, started asking regular Joes whether or not civilians can legally own a MG. In my experience, at least 80% think we cannot.

    History of NFA Trusts????

I have done a little searching, and so far have turned up very little. Anyone know when they started? I grew up around gun shows/dealers and such-but I don't remember hearing about the trusts until the 90s.

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

I think the whole thing may be based kind of on the same logic that NFA trusts are based on. That logic has always seemed tenuous to me-but still the trusts exist.

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

Yeah- I was like 16. I had no idea either. I do remember seeing M-16s for sale at gun shows.... For like 250 or 300 more than an AR15. Also, MP5s, grease guns AKs, etc, etc. Auto sears, etc... Guns shows were so much more fun back then. I don't remember anything about a grace period...

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

Interesting angle. I am still not optimistic-but it would be nice to blow some kind of loophole in that idiotic ban. Good luck to them. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

So, the basis is that the denial is invalid? Based on a lack of authority to deny for that reason?

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

So they are challenging the ban itself?

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

Now, if they had issued the stamps, and allowed the statute of limitations to pass, maybe there would be something to it. Otherwise, not feeling it. A clerical mistake doesn't vacate law

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

If they can get away with a sig brace turning a rifle into an illegal SBR depending on whether it touches a user's shoulder vs cheek, they can get away with whatever they want.

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

Yeah. I heard about that one. The atf will claim clerical error. And they will win. Just like when the IRS gets to claim something similar when they mistakenly add five extra zeros to a tax refund. No one has ever kept that money. I bet the ATF will even attempt to go after the guys for...

    How the 86 Ban Happened.....

Want to see some dirty ass politics? I still don't understand why Reagan signed it, but this is how the MG ban slipped in.
