Is a 9mm upper worth the money?

I knew that someone wouldn't be able resist:pound:

Is a 9mm upper worth the money?

Actually, that is a failure of matching a properly constructed projectile to the speed at which it was being fired. A frangible bullet won't expand if fired slowly enough. That and some bullets just are no good.

Is a 9mm upper worth the money?

As a side note, and despite the hollow point failure, since a 45 was used in the tests, there is a hole in the target almost half an inch wide.

Is a 9mm upper worth the money?

The old Ft. Benning match loads runs me about $8.25 a box. I despise my .308 ar and wish that I had purchased an m14 variant or Garand.

    Ruger PR Goes Mag

That is awesome. I haven't used a bipod and rear bag except for load development in a few years now. I would want a heavy rifle for sure if it was getting much use. Have you used .308 caliber Nosler match bullets? I am thinking about switching with the prices at Midsouth Shooters Supply on their...

    Ruger PR Goes Mag

I like mine, but the amount of 4831/4350 it burns keeps it out of the field. At the distances that I target shoot, never ever over 600, it doesn't make much sense at current costs. If we started getting jugs of pull down powder and cheap once-fired brass, it might turn into my favorite.

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

I was amazed that the .223 55 grain would stay on target at 600 meters from slung prone last summer if you called the wind. I think that the grendal would help buck the wind if it is a dual purpose gun. That is where the 300 is falling short for me.

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

Or that. I can't decide which non .556 ar to build. It is between 6.5 Grendal and 300 blackout.

Spike’s Tactical Releases Waterboarding Instructor Lower

How dare you spread this heresy! Everyone who is knowledgeable about ar's knows that the manufactures mark creates the accuracy. When I am trying to tune my .556 m4 for shooting groundhogs at 2000 meters, my most importand decision is what shade of o.d. green to paint the m4. In fact, the...

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

If those work like the advertising suggests, and the penetration is adequate, I would buy those myself. Compared to time/money invested in a hunt, ammunition cost is insignificant, even at $10 per round. In for some deer autopsy pictures.

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

I’d have to go did through my ammo to see what brand. But it is the cheap plinking crap. I suspect that it is flat based bullets instead of boat tails. Some barrels. especially milsurps shoot those better. I would pull 1 round apart to see, then use a similar profile bullet. Note if the powder...

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

I get it and was of course joking with you. I would probably shoot a 125 loaded with a Nosler if I was shooting factory supersonic.

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

It's like craft beer for your guns shooting fine handloads. I feel so sorry for those poor rifles, the way you give them Budweiser and Coors Light. They must cry on the inside the way you treat them so cheap. You might as well name the 300 blackout Stormy, and the .223 Daniels.

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

I agree that wheel weights would not expand sufficiently at typical handgun speeds. There is no way that I would shoot a traditional jacketed rifle bullet at a deer under 2000 fps m.v. At 1800 or 2000 fps the wheel weights might expand, but soft cast would be where I started as well.

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

If I were shooting that caliber, I would cast some dead soft lead, gas-checked hollow point projectiles, or hollow point them after the fact. Then powder coat the entire bearing surface, leaving the nose uncoated soft lead. Nothing is going to expand better than soft lead. Being low velocity and...

    Best/Favorite Hunting Load for 300BLK?

I am trying some Bergers this year to find the magical bang flop high shoulder every time. With that disclaimer out of the way, Nosler Ballistic Tips expand over an incredible velocity range. You can shoot the same bullet in a 300 Win Mag, or a .308. Noslers fly like match bullets, and are easy...

I am not paying over $500 for any plastic pistol. $650 plus another bill will get you into an Colt 1911.

    Dead Air NOMAD

Will most .308 suppressors handle 30-06, 7mm Mag? 7mm-08., .243, 6.5x55 I assume would be safe but noisier? I would love to have a rifle suppressor, but I'm not a .308 fanboy.
