Chicago politicians & the media prepare for their new concealed carry laws

Chicago is almost a perfect criminal petri dish. Every aspect of their crime to criminal system will be under the magnifying glass and reviewed... before and after. I have to cheer and welcome their coming into the 21st century... and look forward to the feedback we're all sure to hear about...

What to do with no .22? Airgun of the week!

If I see it, I think I'll just buy it. A little backyard plinking sounds almost therapeutic right now.

    NRA Sent me a flashlight

I do like toys, but I do not like Pre-Sents (presents) from any organizations... asking (guilting) for donations. However... Support the NRA. They remain our best defense against all the angles of attack by any anti-gun factions.

    Microstamping revisited

The NRA is a good investment in my book as well. This is proof positive.

    Microstamping revisited

Another interesting read... from an unlikely source for me... on the shortsighted attempts to restrict gun ownership. They keep coming from every angle. Are ballistics not enough in putting a bow on a crime scene investigation? Can microstamping make it easy to mislead attempts to resolve a...

POLL: When will the ammo shortage end?

For what it's worth... Last night, I scored 3 250 count boxes of 9mm UMC... Walmart @ $64 each. The clerk said it was the first ammo shipment of any kind in months and he expected it all gone this morning. No .22 anything. That's what I really need next.

LOL, I thought I never would not be concerned

Yeah Dave, I got that same image. The old Maytag commercial guy unpacks the gun, holds it up to the flourescent lights with both hands and starts singing and dencing around in absolute rapture. Cut that scene... :D From the few reports I'm hearing about, CS sounds desperate for work. I...

LOL, I thought I never would not be concerned

CS may be feeling like the proverbial Maytag Repair Man. No ammo to shoot... no problems being reported... no breaks to fix... Sit and twiddle those thumbs. :(

    D Day 6 June 1944

The thing that always stood out is how they all seemed to have each other's backs, no exceptions. That is from the top of the social and economic ladders to... well... no exceptions. Something that may be missing today.

Illinois legislature passes concealed carry bill w/veto-proof bi-partisan vote

I haven't read the bill itself. The news itself snuck up on me and it seems a lot of others as well. "The license is valid for 5 years and the license fee is $150 for a resident and $300 for a non-resident." Reciprocity is something that's, IMO, going to have to wash itself out.

Poll...How many rounds of .223 do you keep on hand.......

I'm currently under 200 rounds, but ordinarily I'd be comfortable with no less than 500.

Ok, finally a pocket gun trainer!!!!!!!!!!

And you should be able to walk away if you accidently shoot yourself in the foot practicing. Brilliant!

POLL: How many rounds of .22 do you keep on hand?

I'm also down to about 2000 rounds of bulk, but more importantly only about 500 rounds of mini mags.
