    Optic for .22

I've read that the FV-SR has ammo preferences that are different between each rifle.

I didn't know about the software. That's pretty cool.

    Optic for .22

Whenever I can make it by for that crush washer maybe I'll be able to check it out. They have me on light duty so I have to be at work 9-5 mon-fri so I don't know when I'll be able to get by there while your open.

    Optic for .22

Im planning out my next gun. I've decided I am going to get a savage FV-SR since it fits the length I want and I like a bolt gun so I can shoot the quiet stuff without worrying about the action cycling. It will be for plinking, squirrel hunting, and learning long range techniques (obviously at...

Noveske getting into bolt gun game

I'm hopefully going to get a FV-SR in the next few weeks to get the hang of the basics then build up something maybe next year. I know it's probably not the best and it isn't cheap but I really want a Rem 700 .308 in one of the Magpul stocks.

I appreciate it but I should be able to get the rifle before my leg heals up enough to attend anyway.

It's more about ammo cost. .22 is much cheaper than .223 or .308

Whenever I get the FV-SR I've been wanting I am going to come to one of these. I've never had any sort of formal marksmanship training.

Noveske getting into bolt gun game

Fair enough. Not going to lie though. Between this thread and @dougiemac tslking about his build I have been reading more about building a long range precision rifle.

So if the Magpul stock works I assume it's based off a Rem 700. Can someone who knows more about precision rifles tell me what sets these apart from all the other precision rifles builders?

    ALS Thumb Nub mod.

That solidifies that I have to buy something from them

    ALS Thumb Nub mod.

I like mine. I use it for when I'm hunting now, but it will live on the belt whenever I get around to setting one up. They are infinitely better then the SERPA

I may pick one of those up down the road when I put my "battle belt" together. I have little hands so that would help for sure.

That price it better be a .50BMG

It would be cool to see them release parts that work with other rifles though. I'm anxious to see if they are using an existing platform or building everything proprietary.

I'm intrigued, but I also know it will be way more than I could ever afford.

Can we talk about back up 'iron' (polymer) sights?

I'm having fun. Been going to the pool with everyone the last few days but fought my way out to the beach this morning. It went better than I thought it would walking across the sand with crutches.

@Leshaire mine don't sit like that at all. I'd post a better picture but I'm at the beach. I think I recall CCW selling a bunch of MBUS on ODT a while ago that were found to be knock offs. I suspect there are a lot of folks with knock offs that bought what they thought were a good deal.
