The 30 ARX, the better 30 cal AR-15 option

I shall try and trade you for your 6.8 upper, and if successful shall do several side by side comparisons to share with the group. I doubt that I will shoot any living creatures besides armidillos or coyotes.

    Too much ammo?

I once heard that the only two times that you can have too much ammunition, are if you are drowning or are on fire.

The 30 ARX, the better 30 cal AR-15 option

I think the issue with 300 blk is that 200 grain jacketed projectiles for subsonic loads are cost prohibitive. 6.8 to me offers no substantial improvement on 77 grain .556 loads. Ultimately the magazine well prohibits anything beyond intermediate caliber performance. .243 wssm is king of the...

The 30 ARX, the better 30 cal AR-15 option

If the community settles in on 1 or 2 and it becomes widely used the price will come down.

The 30 ARX, the better 30 cal AR-15 option

There really has not been much advancement since WW2, but there have been some improvements.

The 30 ARX, the better 30 cal AR-15 option

There are many "improvements" in the wssm family also . The problem is with the bolt face being machined out too much which could lead a kaboom. .223 will kill deer and other varmints just fine.

    ar-15 - .556, ar-10 - .308, everything else falls by the wayside.

    185 or 230 .45acp

200 lswc over numerous powders or a 230, both work great.

It allows your sidearm to be effective at longer ranges.

Wat? how is this not NFA?

Tis true they be ugly, but it is my choice for a defensive pistol because I know that it will work. To increase it's useful range from 50 to 100 meters is a tremendous enhancement to the platform.

Wat? how is this not NFA?

If it makes it 3 years without going the way of the Sig brace I will buy 2. I like the idea of a field rest for my pistol.

Wat? how is this not NFA?

Give the okay, let everyone buy them, and then declare their use illegal.

    Public toilets?

Seems like at range it would act like a wadcutter loaded backwards into the case if the back is flat. Maybe it has some sort of tail or fins?

I agree, the lee single stage kit is the best value in reloading. I gave away a oooooooold Lyman because there was no priming on the press, but it was well built. If I have to take the brass in and out of the shell holder, I will just use the single stage.

    First Reloading Thread!

It takes about 30 minutes to an hour for caliber conversions, not worth it unless running 500 or more.
