My thinking exactly. As far as the ratchet, I wasn't really thinking about outward appearance, so much as how it actually attaches to the mount. Hopefully they've got a patent in the works.

Whoa. The mount looks a little different (lugs?), but the QD portion looks very similar in design. I suppose we'll have to wait and see exactly how it works to know for certain. I'm sure that Dead Air will be watching closely.

I haven't shot the Grunt-M. I wonder how it sounds compared to the Mini-4 and the Surefire? The Grunt that I've shot sounded pretty good.

That's the thing about compact cans in the "mini" category. It's not just about the numbers though. Those things are loud. Almost bordering on being blast reduction devices vs effective suppressors. They have a specific purpose, but it doesn't apply to most buyers.

Mainly that it is not a true 1x and has a slight magnication. Also some color distortion & tint. Functionally, they seem to be OK.

Saw this video a while back. Pretty neat idea to have a low cost, disposable suppressor. 15-25 rounds at a cost of $130 could get expensive fast. But for the Tactical operator operating operationally and on the go, it's money! Theoretically, could be smuggled into non permissive environments...

For a flush fit to barrel shoulder, you need about 3/4" offset. In other words, 10.75" rail is the max for an 11.5" barrel. I'll be running a 10" rail.
