My hunting autoloading shotguns get 3 in 1 oil since it is so light. I use Mobil 1 grey bottle in my wife’s Lexus Rx350 and save the bottom of the jug for my guns. It’s been years since I bought “gun oil”.

My set back in the mid 90’s got flat spots overnight, then were awesome after warming up. I think they had nylon belts.

Mobil 1 5w-20 if it doesn’t call for grease except the old stuff that called for 30 weight.

I don’t know what’s best either. Trying to study up on Ak builds here myself.

I wish that you could just grab some Trijicon inserts for our old warhorses,. The fiber optic sights on my 94 Winchester have made it usable again.

I have that same optic and hate it for a combat rifle. You have to acquire the target like a traditional scope slowing the presentation on target. I have been planning on checking to see if it has enough eye relief to work as a scout scope on my Mosin. Those blade sights are no good for an old...

Were those reloads? I only load hot rounds on once fired Glock brass and loose them in the leaves on purpose after a 3 or 4 target loads even if they pass inspection due to the unsupported chamber in these guns.

You have to put Brasso or the equivalent into it or it is dusty and slow to clean. I use it in my tumbler. As much as I shoot around the homeplace, 1bag has lasted at lasted over 3 years.

Carb and choke cleaner does a good job removing carbon even in egr systems.

I picked up a post war with the pigsticker missing for a swine slayer. 7.62x54r looses a lot of velocity from the carbine length barrel. Ultimately, I discovered thru careful load development. I could load 170 grain 30-30 bullets up to about 2500 fps. Which is at least 200 fps faster than 30-30...

I'll check my stock Monday. Usually I shoot spp in the woods in case I loose a few.
