    Opinions.......Aero Precision?

What do you think of that LT trigger? If I'm not mistaken, Aero bought out Ballistic Advantage last year.

    Bolt Won't Stay Back

Well, how big a boy is ol' Strider? [emoji6]

    Bolt Won't Stay Back

I thought about that. But you'd run into other issues that should make that obvious. Like the buffer detent binding or the upper wouldn't close onto the lower.

    Bolt Won't Stay Back

I'd bet he's using a regular carbine receiver extension. In that case, there's no screw to obstruct the travel distance, only the back end of the tube. My money is still on a lower or parts kit issue though.

    Bolt Won't Stay Back

Had not thought of that. A short buffer tube could cause the same issue.

    Bolt Won't Stay Back

I've actually seen a handful that were truly out of spec, with issues like trigger / hammer pin holes drilled in the wrong location or the bolt catch pin hole drilled incorrectly (too low).

    Bolt Won't Stay Back

I just hope it's not another "Anderson strikes again" situation.

    Bolt Won't Stay Back

If the catch isn't broken and you can't lock the bolt manually, then it sounds like either the lower or the catch is out of spec. How many rounds through the gun before this started happening?

    Ultimate suppressed upper?

Vltor A5 buffer and receiver extension. Essentially mimics the rifle system in a collapsible stock format. It uses a rifle spring, which is softer than the carbine spring, creating a softer, more forgiving system.

    Ultimate suppressed upper?

I classify PMC bronze and Prvi 223 as "weak". PMC bronze, while consistent, has always been on the low end of the pressure spectrum. Alot of manufacturers use it as the minimum standard for function and reliability. Case in point, back in 2008, KAC introduced the SR15. It was originally ported...

    Ultimate suppressed upper?

I've shot it with weaker brass cased 223, but not steel. If you want to shoot steel cased ammo, you're going to want a barrel with normal or slightly overgassed port. It's the only way to ensure reliability with weak or inconsistent ammo. I'm running a 5.56 can, but I beleive Righter13 is...

    What are the odds?

Nah, any hogs we shoot end up in the bone pile for the yotes to dispose of. Then we trap the yotes on the way in and out and dispose of them too. I used to drop them at the edge of our beaver pond for the gator. But some a-hole poached her a couple of years ago. I usually cut out the loins and...

    Ultimate suppressed upper?

Interesting. I haven't kept up with Noveske in the last couple of years, so I have probably just not noticed.

    Ultimate suppressed upper?

They used to just mark them with the iron cross roll mark. Then they started laser engraving Noveske. Not sure what they're doing these days. But it looks like yours was lasered and then had it milled off and re-stamped with the cross. See the mill mark above the fwd assist?

    Ultimate suppressed upper?

I've never seen one that they milled the markings off of before. I'm using one of the Strike Industries covers for now. It doesn't snap in as positive as a standard cover, so I'll probably put the original BCM back on at some point.

    What are the odds?

Truth. I put several more into his chest as he headed straight at me. But I think the initial shot is what really did him in. Thankfully he went down before he got to me. But there's no way I'd go looking for a hog, armed only with a 9mm or any pistol caliber for that matter.

I was clinched TIGHT by the time he finally ground to a halt!
