Of getting an e-filed form 1 approved by early September if it was submitted April 14th?

I'm SBRing the Scorpion, and I'm going hog hunting in Oklahoma in October. I'll need a few weeks to submit my paperwork to the ATF to take the sbr across state lines.

Is it possible given the potential for longer wait times?

If you are in a stand, I guess it wouldn't matter.

If you are on the ground, you best cowboy up.

Hogs are mean and when they attack, they eviscerate people. It happens.

This is what they call a low/high situation. The odds of an attack are relatively low, but the consequences are high.

I would go big bore. Most people hunt them with deer rifles or buckshot.

I've taken a hog with a 9mm ONCE. I didn't set out to do it though. I was bowhunting, finished up a morning hunt and had already loaded my gear into the truck. A hog comes trotting by at 20 yards and all I have on me is the pistol. I sent the first round behind the shoulder, through both lungs. He jumped and ran in a straight line away from me for about 20-25 yards. THEN he figured out what happened. He turned, never slowing down and charged straight at me, blowing through a dead pine on the way. They cover ground fast. I popped four more into him, head-on, until he finally piled up about 10 steps in front of me. I won't be doing that again.

I shot a small one in the hind quarters and he turned to charge me.

6.8 SPC to the head ended that one pretty quick.

I personally would only hunt from the ground with a high-powered semi-auto rifle with a 15+ round magazine but maybe I'm a pansy.

Truth. I put several more into his chest as he headed straight at me. But I think the initial shot is what really did him in. Thankfully he went down before he got to me. But there's no way I'd go looking for a hog, armed only with a 9mm or any pistol caliber for that matter.

.44 mag or .45C drops empty good. .357 is good. 10 mm is good.

But AR with 30 round mag is better.

Naw, I'm going to use some 147 grain loads and shoot little piggies at bow range. There's no way a 147 HST in the ear won't dump a 100# pig at 25 yards.
