    Piston Upper Question

You'll want to wear earpro. Also i've heard that your can's service life may be reduced.

    Piston Upper Question

Is your suppressor of choice warrantied on a 7.5" barrel? Just a quick note that - even if it is - it won't sound all that great anyway...

    M1 Carbine

if it's a shooter, leave as is. if it's any bit of a collectors item, rock it out.

    School me on 1911's

was just about to post this. purist hate the external extractors of the sig, but they seem to be of higher quality than others in the same price bracket. of course now that colts have come down a bit, it would be hard not to go with the colt for $750ish. i was shopping for a 1911 several years...

    24" vs 20" 556

i suppress all of my ar's so i have no real interest in anything beyond 18". can you imagine a 24" barrel with a can hanging off the end? i'd rather carry a 2x4 around the woods. and i don't bench-shoot for competition.

    Build ideas

For coyotes and hogs, I think a solid hunting .223 round is adequate (I like the Fusion MSR for these applications). I've still not completely warmed up to the idea of using it for whitetails, but many have and will advocate for it. Maybe I'll try it next year as I'm set on venison at the...

    Rifle sling recommendations

This. I've used many slings over the years but I now own three Vickers / BFH slings. They are bombproof and just work. I have one in every configuration I need - QD, Magpul Clips, and HK clips. I hate changing out the sling hardware for different attachment types though it is very simple. I...

    Next is a 6.5G Build

I looked long and hard at building a 6.5 but it didn't make sense for me given that I already have a 6.8 and that I shoot/hunt at distances less than 200 yards. Ballistics show that the 6.5 really shines at longer ranges especially with an 18"+ barrel. Doublestar Corp had some of these on sale...

JP silent capture spring or Geissele Super 42

i am going to be testing the super 42 in a number of different setups but so far, it seems to work in the four configurations i have tried. i am looking for a "one stop shop" for reliability and longevity for multiple AR setups without having to switch springs and buffers. i am not interested...

JP silent capture spring or Geissele Super 42

I've had good luck so far with the Geissele Super 42 braided three wire spring and the included H buffer. At $42 during the Black Friday madness (I bought mine at regular price for $50ish), I think this setup is superior or equal to the JP Silent Capture at under 1/2 of the price. I only have...
