So after hitting my brain with a hammer I AM keeping my Rock-ola M1 Carbine.

My new question is this: should I make it as Rock-ola as possible?

Right now the only Rock-ola parts are the receiver, barrel, and magazine. I can get a lot of the trigger group back to being Rock-ola and recoup some money by selling the parts I replace.

Should I rock it out or just leave it mixmaster as is?

There may be some hope for you afterall!

Congrats on keeping it!

Rock it out if you enjoy that kind of thing. If it were me, I'd just choot it and enjoy it and spend the time/energy on another project. But like I said, if that's something you enjoy doing, go for it.

Thank God! I'm so glad you came to your senses. If it shoots great I'd just rock it as it is. I mean hell 99.9% of those old carbines have been back to the armory to have Parts replaced on them Here There and Everywhere anyways.
