Question - trigger job on an older snub

I'd be glad to do the job for ya, but without an FFL I suspect I could get in trouble for doing it - especially if I had to take things apart (to keep the trigger separate from other parts that could get marred if the trigger was left in the frame for the mod).

Question - trigger job on an older snub

If all you want to do is smooth out the existing trigger (and assuming that it's working well, doesn't really need work to get a good release, and timing is good), that's really easy to do assuming you can disassemble the frame without boogering anything up. With the tools I have, that would be...

Question - trigger job on an older snub

I think the answer to your question really needs your input. Would a shorter trigger reach (current reach less the removed material) feel right for you? You could also get a smooth add-on to widen and smoothen the trigger. I don't know what aftermarket triggers are available for those. I...

    Panic buy?

I got my AR and all the "too big" magazines that I wanted last year. I kinda figured that prices would go sky high as they have, so I'm quite glad I made the decisions that I did. I don't have any real desire for more firearms in the foreseeable future (mainly because my better half doesn't...

Putting gun violence in context ---- An article in The Washington Post

Fortunately, Colorado has NOT passed the new law. Colorado's House of Representatives passed their version but the Colorado Senate has not dealt with the bill yet. It says that in the news article. Let's hope that the Colorado Senate has clearer vision and that it's not a political vision.

    Roy Rogers quick shooter hat

I did a little Googling for that and found that they're selling for upwards of $400 these days. Wouldn't you have liked to have a few dozen tucked away in their new boxes?

    AR question

There's another thing that I forgot. The followers in the 20-round PMags were just a little sticky when I would move them with a wood sliver (think 2"-wide yardstick) as a pusher. To improve things, I pulled the followers and springs out, lightly polished the sides of the followers and the...

    AR question

That youngster has been taught VERY well. For one thing, I noticed the absolutely proper finger position when not ready to fire. Then the hits with every shot topped that off superbly.

    AR question

That little feller reminds me of my kids a couple of decades ago (maybe a little more). They used to have a ball cycling 3-1/2" floppies through my 386SX computer's drive when I was doing backups of the tiny hard drive. Try some Lake City M193 ammo or, at the very least, some USA commercial...

Ar users, you might consider this money saving device

That is cool. It's darned expensive for what it is, though. On the other hand, the advantage is that I could easily set up a range in my basement for it.

    Steel targets ???

Unfortunately, our club allows only paper targets at the range and they must be on the target boards. No more bowling pins or other fun targets. We can put clay pigeons on the hill behind the 100yd target boards and those are really fun for some fun competitive shooting with handguns.

Double barrel .45 hitting the market

I may be blind, but I couldn't find a test in that page. All I saw was a description of the pistol. I definitely would like to see a comprehensive test of the double-45 (is that a 90 caliber?).

It looks like my reloading days are over and I just started

I suspect that in a very few months the manufacturers will be supplying enough to restock the stores. You might consider ordering from a place such as Midway USA where, if something is on back order, you can have them notify you that the product is available. Once they email you, they hold the...

    9mm for large hands?

Though it's a bit tough to conceal, the grip on the Beretta 92FS is perfect for larger hands.

Double barrel .45 hitting the market

I just thought of something even cooler - a handheld .45 ACP Gatling gun. ::)

Double barrel .45 hitting the market

'Twould be fun carrying that beast in an IWB holster. We'd have to buy new pants to do it. ::)

Double barrel .45 hitting the market

The double-barrel .45 appears to be legitimate (though more than a bit silly in my opinion). Based on some web searches, it seems to be made by an offshore company called Arsenal Firearms and apparently will be imported by Apex International LLC of Middletown CT.

    10,000 Post coming up.

Craig, sounds like you're bordering on being a bit wimpy. My wife pulls my ear hairs out for me if I can't see well enough to grab them with a pliers and I hardly wince. ;) (I'm a teeny bit over a month from turning 66, by the way.)
