And I've had Yugo AKs. My first AK EVER was an Opap. My first gun purchase EVER was a Yugo SKS.

Yugo aks just seem to incorporate all the worst aspect of an AK into one rifle

But again buy what you want...
If you want a heavy gun I'd buy a vepr over a Yugo all day. I'd get a galil over both without a second thought.

I have had a couple asks rifles and just couldn't get into them. Almost M1 heavy shooting a much less powerful round with crappy sights to boot. If they were $100 sure, not for $300+.
