Does anyone carry a G43?

I've heard mixed reviews. Heavy, uncomfortable triggers, so so reliability.

Thoughts?

I need to buy a carry gun by the weekend.

I had one for a little while. In the end I just prefer a full size gun. I very rarely need something smaller than a Glock 19/23 sized gun.

I'm the opposite. I want the smallest, thinnest 9mm that I can get (within reason). Size is a major concern for me because of where I have to carry.

A G42 with a trigger connector is a great little gun, haven't shot the G43.

They have heavier triggers, like 8lbs, because lawyers.

I'm curious as well. I'm going to pick up either a 26 or a 43 before next spring. I have pros and cons to both so I'm still up in the air.

I have been reading that the early ones had reliability issues but they have since cleared them up.

I had a 26 and didn't like it. If you can carry that, you can carry a 19 without noticing a difference.

Width matters more than length with carry and a few .10ths of an inch makes a huge difference in comfort.

I've had a few 26s. For me I can conceal them better than my 19. I get by with my 19 for now but my body shape and how I dress that slight reduction in grip length makes a huge difference in printing for me. I also find the 26 more comfortable for appendix carry then my 19.

Appendix would make more difference. To me they felt the exact same on my hip. Going to a single stack makes a high difference though.

I like the43 for how small it is, but I like the 26 because of mag capacity and compatibility with my 19. I also like I can still use my Vanguard 2 with the 26.

I carry a 43 almost daily. Depends on if I can conceal my 19 or not... I love it. Zero malfunctions and close to 500 rounds through it including my carry ammo. I run the Taran +1s on it which are still nearly the same size as the factory base plate. I run big dot night sights and a traction grip and couldnt be happier with it.

I'm more likely to carry my single stack for a quick trip to the store. My 19 is fine, but I have to dress for it, so it gets carried much more in cooler weather.

They are stupid not to make vanguards for the single stacks. People buy single stacks because they are thin. People buy vanguards because they don't add thickness. It just makes sense that people would love a holster that keeps their thin guns thin. I think it's safe to say the shield and 43 arnt going anywhere and have been popular enough to invest in production.

That's the main reason I want something smaller. Quick trips to the store and when I'm dressed up a bit it's harder to conceal a 19.
